BDBA Competitive Ballet Program is intended for serious dancers interested in attending prominent ballet competitions and festivals. Entering a reputable dance competition is a rewarding learning experience and an occasion for dancers to get feedback on their technique and artistry from highly respected members of the dance community. 

 

The  selected competitions are paired with workshops and master classes offered by renowned instructors from international level schools and companies who will award scholarships to summer intensives, nationally recognized schools and college programs.

 

Students will have the possibility to participate in three competitions/ festivals in either solos, duos, trios and/ or in groups. The pieces presented will consist of excerpts and variations belonging to the classical repertory and original creations as well.

An audition to enter the Competitive Ballet Program will be held at Brooke Desnoes Ballet Academy studio on Saturday April 25, 2020 | 10 – 12 years old | 9:30 – 10:30  |  13+ years old | 11:00 – 12:00

Summer requirements | All dancers selected to participe in the competition program will be expected to attend a 5 week Summer school at BD Ballet Academy and attend competitive ballet program rehearsals following summer classes.
Monday & Wednesday | June 1 – July 3 | 2:00 – 3:30 Class | Fee $250.00 | 3:30 – 5:00 Competitive Ballet Program Rehearsal | Fee $150.00

Typically Competitions / Festivals are scheduled from January to April. Students are responsible for all fees including costumes fees associated with competitions and festivals.
